BBC 2026-27 Interim and Winter Schedule Changes
The 2026-2027 Fall Interim and Winter BBC schedules are now available. The BBC World Service will be on a one-week interim schedule prior to the winter schedule to accommodate daylight saving time in the U.K. and the U.S.

The 2026 fall interim schedule is effective Sunday, October 25 through Saturday, October 31, 2026.
New Programs

Hosted by Roman Mars, A History of the United States in 100 Objects tells the sprawling, sometimes contradictory story of America's history and culture by examining everyday, overlooked, or unconventional items rather than traditional museum artifacts.

Sports stories from beyond the score sheet and from all over the world.
From Formula One to netball, MMA to figure skating, and Grand Slam tennis to Diamond League athletics. We've got interviews with extraordinary athletes, as well as the experts working behind the scenes, from football super-agents to the coaches keeping athletes in peak form. Plus, we've got the expertise of the BBC's top journalists, who share their insights from decades of covering sport at all levels.
Leaving Programs
The Fifth Floor and The Conversation will be removed from the schedule.
Interim Schedule Highlights:
· Newshour
o Weekend 8 a.m. ET editions shift one hour to 9 a.m. ET. This change impacts scheduling on Sunday, October 25 and Saturday, October 31.
o Weekday and weekend evening editions remain the same, with an extra edition at 5 p.m. ET.
· Outside Source
o Will air weekdays at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. ET. Note: Each hour is stand-alone.
· The Newsroom
o The Monday–Sunday edition at 6 p.m. ET remains the same.
· The Arts Hour
o Remains consistent at 5 a.m. ET on Sunday.
The 2026-2027 winter schedule is effective Sunday, November 1, 2026 through Saturday, March 14, 2027.
Winter Schedule Highlights:

o Weekend morning editions return to 8 a.m. ET.
· Outside Source
o Shifts back to 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. ET.
· The Newsroom
o The Monday–Sunday edition returns to 5 p.m. ET.
