BBC Spring 2026 Interim Schedule

Given differences in daylight saving time schedules, the BBC World Service will be on a three-week interim schedule prior to the summer schedule. 

The 2026 spring interim schedule is effective Sunday, March 8 through Saturday, March 28, 2026. 

Interim Schedule Highlights 

  • Newshour 

  • Weekday editions remain the same, with an extra edition at 3 p.m. ET. 
     

  • Weekend 8 a.m. ET editions shift one hour to 9 a.m. ET. This change impacts scheduling on March 8, March 14, March 15, March 21, March 22, and March 28. 
     

  • Weekend 4 p.m. ET editions remain consistent during the interim schedule, with an extra edition at 5 p.m. ET. 
     

  • BBC OS  

  • Editions move forward one hour to 12 p.m. ET and 1 p.m. ET. 
     

  • The Newsroom 

  • There will be no 2 p.m. ET edition Sunday through Friday. 

 

The BBC summer schedule will take effect on Sunday, March 29, 2026. We will share details of that schedule change once they are finalized.
