BBC 2025 Summer Schedule

The 2025 summer schedule is effective Sunday, March 30 through Saturday, October 25, 2025.

 Summer Schedule Highlights:

• Core news programs (Newshour, Newsday, BBC OS) remain consistent with previous (non-interim) schedules.

• The Newsroom

  • The Monday – Sunday edition returns to its usual 6 p.m. ET slot for the summer.

• Other Programs

  • Three new programs join the schedule:

    • The Interview: Broadcasting twice a week, Monday and Wednesday. Edition One: Monday 5-5:30 a.m.; repeat 5-5:30 p.m. ET. Edition Two: Wednesday 5-5:30 p.m. ET

    • Americast: Friday 5-5:30 a.m.; repeat 5-5:30 p.m. ET

    • Not by the Playbook: Saturday 3-4 p.m. ET

  • HARDtalk and Sportshour will both be sunset and no longer available.

  • The Global Story will take a break and will return to the schedule in late summer.

  • The Documentary (Wednesday) slot is being renamed. It will now be BBC World Service Series to better reflect this type of longer series programming.

  • Business Matters will be sunset but remains on the schedule until the end of May.
