THE DAILY

Hosted by Michael Barbaro and powered by The New York Times' newsroom, The Daily brings listeners the biggest stories of our time, told by the best journalists in the world.

The Daily Election Coverage
The electorate and the issues.

THE ELECTORATE
The Daily's coverage of the 2020 election will be defined by an ambitious attempt to understand the American electorate in the lead up to the vote. The show will examine whether and how the pandemic and the protests across America have shifted the race for president, drawing from reporting by New York Times reporters and The Daily producers.

THE ISSUES
The Daily will also have ambitious explorations of the issues defining the election – with field reporting, strong characters and reporter analysis.

Through election day, please see The Daily's current slate of deep dive programming below. These episodes include several installments of The Field - a New York Times series that goes inside towns and cities across America in the lead up to the 2020 presidential election.
